Uncorked

A bottle of moscato emptied and enjoyed to its fullest, along with some great company, deserves to be topped off with an exquisite hydrangea. After all, wine symbolizes transformation and hydrangeas represent gratitude, grace and beauty in abundance.

I’m drawn to New Orleans wrought iron. So for this piece I decided on a backdrop of the custom wrought iron balcony of the Pontalba Apartments in Jackson Square, one of my favorite ornate balconies in the city. I’m also a sucker for a repurposed item that tells a story. These items hold strong memories and connections reminding us we are made from our past, while we live in the moment of today, which sets the groundwork for our collected future.

ABOUT the FINE ART GICLEE: Produced from my original artwork and are printed on high-quality archival canvas using archival inks, stretched over a .75” or 1.5” wood frame with the print image wrapping around edge of canvas and are ready to hang using the mounted picture wire. (The 1.5” depth canvas works best for hanging without framing.) The giclee is signed on the front in silver, titled/labeled/signed on the back and comes with a signed letter of authenticity should it ever need appraisal.

CUSTOM FRAMING: Handmade floating frames created using reclaimed wood. Frames add an additional 3 inches to the overall width and height of giclee. (Floating frame for 1.5” gallery wrap giclee available upon request.)

PROCESSING TIME & SHIPPING: Giclees are made to order and are ready to ship in 1-2 weeks within the U.S.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
