Flights of Hope Release & Open Studio
CLICK VIDEO ABOVE TO VIEW PAINTINGS!
INFORMATION ON SERIES:
‘Flights of Hope' is a limited edition annual series, now in its 10th YEAR, comprised of 30 - framed 4”x4”x1.5” original impasto style oil paintings carved using palette knives. These original paintings will be sold individually for $200 each.
HOW WILL THE RELEASE WORK”
At 7am the gate & studio door will open allowing the early risers & 1st arrivals the opportunity to TEAR OFF A NUMBER marking your space in line & guarantee you ONE ‘Flights Of Hope’ selection. *Note if you want more than one bring a friend, spouse or child along with you)
Select your painting in the series, we’ll write it down on your pulled number slip & place the number on the table under the painting. This will help the next person in line know which paintings have been chosen.
You can then choose to stay and enjoy Mr. Ronnies donuts & coffee while visiting with others & me, sharing stories of what certain winged critters and flower/berries mean to each other. It’s a very joyful & uplifting time. Should you choose to leave be sure to return by 9am when everyone makes their official selections. YOU MUST BE PRESENT @ 9AM to make your choice, if not your original selection will be available for others to choose.
After everyone makes their selection, if more paintings remain, you can choose to then add to your collection.
We’re doing this section’s process for the release to ensure the calmest & most fair way for everyone in attendance a chance to bring home a piece that speaks to their heart.
WHY DO I PAINT THIS SERIES?
Have you ever heard of the sentiment, when a butterfly lands next to me a loved one is thinking of me? Well this series celebrates that idea and raises that idea to incorporate other winged critters that cause our hearts to smile knowing a friend or loved one is right there walking this journey with us. This series is meant to INSPIRE HOPE & JOY through Louisiana’s tiny winged critters: butterflies, dragonflies, lady bugs, bumble bees, robins, blue jays, cardinals, hummingbirds, moths, honey bees and this years new addition…BLUEBIRDS!
A FINAL THOUGHT:
I’ve put my heart-n-soul into this series each an every year and I believe this years series to be the very best to date. I can’t wait for you to see them in person and hear all of your sweet stories as well. I hope your hearts have been filled with JOY & HOPE with my daily post of this series. I look forward to seeing you all and thank you for your continued support of my dreams.
