Things Are Looking Up - Diptych

from $360.00

Diptych - Two pieces of artwork that work together to tell the story.

There are moments in life when the horizon feels heavy and the path ahead unclear. Sometimes, all it takes is a shift in perspective to move us from feeling stuck to recognizing the possibilities that have been there all along. When we allow ourselves to see what’s possible, we give ourselves permission to soar.

We are not meant to navigate life on our own. In every season, there are those who lift us, walk beside us and remind us how to rise. The people in our lives, our friends, family, and community, give us strength when we need it most.

We may all move at different paces but we are never truly alone and in that, we find hope. Things are looking up.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
