Nostalgia, a comforting sentimental welcome that fills you with the happiness of days gone bye. In a brief moment of time travel you’re transported by the sight of something from your past that connects you by a thread to moments so vivid you feel as though you’re there. All at once it catches up with you in unknown ways and sometimes the most unexpected ones tug on your heart with shear bliss.
This iron gate welcomes you to its secret garden filled with sunny cone flowers leading to a front porch seating destination that is seemingly pulled from our past like a time machine. Memories of grandparents' porches fill our memories with the site of two plantation cane rockers flanking a vintage concrete planter which is all set off by the ornate craftsmanship of this Victorian porch.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
