King Cake Baby - ArtBlock

$25.00

‘King Cake Baby’ ArtBlock

This lil’ King Cake Baby made his way down to the parade route for the 1st time after escaping his king cake box. It sure looks like he’s living’ his best life while sporting his cake crown and a mask thrown from a passing float. He even made a life long friend with a lil’ purple bead dog too!

Louisiana is layered in tradition so it seems fitting that our Nostalgic Memories of Catching Glass Beads, Making Bead Dogs by the dozen & a King Cake Baby have ALL finally made their way to catch a parade together! “Laissez les bons temps rouler” is a French phrase that translates to “let the good times roll”

WHAT’S A KING CAKE BABY? It’s a sweet Mardi Gras tradition hidden inside of a king cake that symbolizes luck, prosperity and the responsibility to buy the next King Cake if your slice holds the baby.

What’s An ArtBlock?

A handmade product lovingly created in my studio using one of my paper prints mounted on a 6”x6”x1.75” solid block of stained poplar wood.

How do Display an ArtBlock?

ArtBlocks can be displayed sitting on a shelf or can hang aided by the routed key hole slot on the back which allows the block to sit flush to the wall.
