‘Fun On The Bayou’ ArtBlock
Down in the heart of South Louisiana, where the cypress sways and the marsh grass dances in the breeze, the bayou ain’t just a place, it’s a rhythm, a flavor and a way of life. Here our skies come alive with the soulful flight of herons and pelicans, soaring alongside our beloved instruments of Cajun music: the fiddle, accordion and guitar. Swirling around them are fiery ribbons of joy that are layered with notes from Hank Williams’ toe-tappin’, two-steppin’ classic, “Jambalaya On the Bayou”. These melodies don’t just float through the air here they fly, echoing the sounds of porch-front fais-do-dos, family get-togethers and sun-drenched festivals that fill our lives with laughter and lagniappe.
It’s a celebration of the spirit of Acadiana that’s all at once bold, colorful and steeped in tradition. Whether you hear the call of the blue heron or the sweet cry of a fiddle, be sure to grab a plate of jambalaya, kick up your boots and join the celebration because here in South Louisiana, even the birds know how to pass a good time y’all!!!

A handmade product lovingly created in my studio using one of my paper prints mounted on a 6”x6”x1.75” solid block of stained poplar wood.
How do Display an ArtBlock?
ArtBlocks can be displayed sitting on a shelf or can hang aided by the routed key hole slot on the back which allows the block to sit flush to the wall.
