Corner of Bienville and Bourbon

from $110.00

This work was inspired by my love of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana, the undeniable allure of Bourbon St., and the ambience of the city’s street lights. I enjoy capturing a view that I could spend a couple of hours, taking in the cities elegant architecture and the mystique of it's streets. This piece captures this location in a way that your mind can wander from the 1800's to present day. It's all a matter of where you allow your day dreams to take you.

ABOUT the FINE ART GICLEE: Produced from my original artwork and they are printed on high-quality archival canvas using archival inks, stretched over a .75” or 1.5” wood frame with the print image wrapping around edge of canvas and are ready to hang using the mounted picture wire. (The 1.5” depth canvas works best for hanging without framing.) The giclee is signed on the front in silver, titled/labeled/signed on the back and comes with a signed letter of authenticity should it ever need appraisal.

CUSTOM FRAMING: Handmade floating frames created using reclaimed wood. Frames add an additional 3 inches to the overall width and height of giclee.

PROCESSING TIME & SHIPPING: Giclees are made to order and are ready to ship in 1-2 weeks within the U.S.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
