Beignet’s Anyone
Cafe Beignet’s iconic green and white stripe canopy on Royal St. welcomes all who pass by with charm and an enchanting heavenly aroma of fried beignets. Brought to New Orleans in the 18th century by both the French colonists and the Acadians, beignets became a large part of home-style Creole cooking. Now the official doughnut of Louisiana is considered to be breakfast but let’s be honest we eat them as the desert they are. Beignets are meant to be eaten fresh and hot, just be sure not to inhale the powdered sugar while taking a bite.

ABOUT the FINE ART GICLEE: Produced from my original artwork and they are printed on high-quality archival canvas using archival inks, stretched over a .75” or 1.5” wood frame with the print image wrapping around edge of canvas and are ready to hang using the mounted picture wire. (The 1.5” depth canvas works best for hanging without framing.) The giclee is signed on the front in silver, titled/labeled/signed on the back and comes with a signed letter of authenticity should it ever need appraisal.
CUSTOM FRAMING: Handmade floating frames created using reclaimed wood. Frames add an additional 3 inches to the overall width and height of giclee.

I paint in an impasto style using oil paint with palette/painting knives. Painting with palette knives allow a freedom I never enjoyed with brushes. I'm drawn to New Orleans cityscapes and Louisiana landscapes. I'm inspired by the vibrant vivid colors and heavy textures achieved with this three dimensional painting style. I enjoy capturing a view that I would enjoy spending a couple of hours in front of, taking in all the flavor of my surrounding.
